News and thoughts about Saudi women driving.
t's good to see women standing up for themselves, but it's not enough, and I fear it won't ever be. When suffragists were fighting for woman's vote in America, millions rallied behind them before any progress was made. Alas, they also didn't have all of these ridiculous laws preventing them from speaking up in the first place. Saudi women can't do anything until they can speak up without being beaten and/or eternally silenced.
In Saudi Arabia, women have restrictions because of repressive laws such as driving, contacting the opposite sex, property ownership and marriage.
